Vitamin E- Food sources.
​Vitamin E is a supplement which is used to prevent the deficiency of Vitamin E in a body. People who eat a regular diet won't show any signs of the insufficiency of Vitamin E.
​Usually, vitamin E deficiency is observed in premature newborns. Vitamin E plays a vital role in protecting our body cells called an antioxidant.

 Vitamin E is usually required for pregnant women, and they should be given an oral dosage of it. Those who are lacking Vitamin E must also need the supplements of this vitamin.

Benefits of taking Vitamin E :
Most of the people use Vitamin E as supplements because they expect vitamins antioxidant properties will prevent many of the diseases. But case study shows it helps us prevention from cancer, cardiac arrest, diabetes, Alzheimers and more. Vitamin E is excreted in breast milk, so it is considered safe.
Vitamin E  Food Sources 
  • Vegetable oils.
  • Green leafy vegetables like spinach. 
  •  Fortified cereals and other foods.
  •  Eggs, nuts.
Vitamin E deficiencies:
  • Vitamin E deficiency is seen commonly in people who are suffering from indigestion, cystic fibrosis. It destroys body cells. Those who not follow proper diet may fall under this zone.
Over dosage of Vitamin E results:
  • Fatigue, headache, gas trouble, Diarrhea and Blurred vision.
  • Increased serum creatinine.
  • Increase the risk of hemorrhage stroke
  • It suppresses the activity of other antioxidants.
  • It can cause irritation of skin bleeding, headache etc.
  • Those using a multivitamin more than 7 times a week. There is a high number of chances for developing prostate cancer in men.
  • Over dosage of Vitamin E supplements in early pregnancy is harmful. During the first 8 weeks of pregnancy may increase congenital heart defects.

It's better to consult a general physician or a nutritionist before starting the intake of Vitamin E.
