Basketball

                  ​Basketball is a non contact team sport with five players in each two teams which is played in a rectangular court.The ball should be thrown into the hoop(basket)which is 18 inches in diameter and 10 feet high which is fixed to the backboard at each end of the court.
                  The game was invented in 1891 by Dr.James Naismith,is the first basketball coach of the Kansas Jayhawks,is the one of the most successful program in the game's history.
                   A team can score a field goal by dropping the ball through the basket by defending other team players during regular play.The field goal scores three points for the shooting team if the player shoot from behind the three point lines and two point if the shot from the front of the line.A team can also score from free throws,which gains one point when the other team do's fault.
                   The game has many individual techniques for displaying skills like ball handling,shooting,passing,dribbling,dunking,shot blocking,and rebounding.The player positions of basketball,the tallest and shortest members of the team are called Center or Power forward,then who are slightly shorter and more nimble players are called Small forward.The shortest players or those who posses the best ball handling skills are called a point guard or shooting guard..
                    Basketball is the worlds  most popular and widely viewed sports.The "National Basketball Association"(NBA) is the most popular widely considered to be the highest level of "Professional Basketball" in the world.
