Abraham Benjamin de Villiers is a South African cricketer born on 17 February 1984  who currently captains the South African ODI team. He is also a former captain in T20 and he is a talented sportsman as he not just excelled in cricket, but has also proved  in other sports such as golf, rugby and tennis. Though cricket was his passion and it soon turned out to be his chosen field for higher avenues. De Villiers is also one of the best ever players to grace the shorter formats, where he is currently ranked as the No. 1 batsman. He had  played both as an opener and as a lower-order wicket-keeper-batsman in his first Test series, de Villiers was earmarked for greatness. 
RCB HIGHLIGHTS
He was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in  2011. Since then, he has joined hands with Chris Gayle in tearing bowling attacks apart with utter disdain. During the 2012 season, when playing the role of a finisher, he snatched wins from the jaws of defeat.His most menacing IPL innings came in the 2015 season when he decimated the Mumbai Indians attack at the Wankhede Stadium, smashing an unbeaten 133 in 59 balls.
